OOAK americana folk art hand hooked wool rug of a lion and a lamb dancing/playing. This unique, original design features a black and green border. Made from wool strips, which are hand crafted onto a cotton monks cloth backing; finished with a cotton twill on the underside edge. This rug, which is for sale, can be used as a fireplace or hearth rug.

Cute, Whimsical Lion and Lamb rug. It is an original design derived from a block print.

Made of hand hooked wool strips on monk's cloth backing with twill edging. This rug measures approximately 31" X 41", which works well as an accent rug in an entry, near the hearth or easy chair. The cloth is felted and some is doubled, so it is rather thick and cushion-y.

A well made and cared-for hooked rug is an heirloom and will last for generations. I know, I learned this craft from my grandmother and many of her rugs are not only in use, but in great condition today.
